Bruce Coy

Photographer / Cinematographer

Bruce Coy is from Chapin, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson with a Civil Engineering degree, and attended N.J. Institute of Technology in the Masters of Industrial Management program.

While working for DeLeuw-Cather Engineering in their NYC office (a division of Parsons Corp.,) Bruce worked on several well-known infrastructure projects, including the Washington, D.C. Metro Rail, NJ Transit and several projects in the United Arabian Emirates. During this, he began managing a rock band in NYC. They landed a record deal and needed professional music videos for MTV. That’s when he fell in love with the technically creative (or was it creatively technical?) process of recording music and producing videos. A left-brain, right-brain thing. So, he decided to turn that into a career. He hung out a shingle (actually, an ad in the Yellow Pages – remember that?) and the first client was ABC – a TV commercial with Shelly Winters, endorsing the American Diabetes Association. He soon built a 7500 s.f. film and photography studio in the SoHo section of Manhattan, and catered to Hollywood films, network television, corporate marketing, and celebrity photography.

In 1992 he and his wife Pam settled on the Isle of Palms, in their home state of South Carolina.

Bruce’s company continued producing videos, and in the early 90’s, began developing multi-media and websites. Clients have included over a dozen Fortune 500 firms, and many companies and organizations, large and small, from around the world.

Now working as an Independent Contractor / Sole Proprietor, Bruce has/is …
• extensive experience with commercial, industrial & portrait photography
• extensive experience with architectural quality, real estate HDR, twilight & drone photography
• extensive experience with marine marketing for major boat and yacht manufacturing brands
• an accomplished, award winning director/cinematographer & photographer with over 30 years of experience
• an accomplished drone pilot - FAA UAV Licensed/Insured
